Junk Food: Digestive Cookies
I put the photo of a package of a well-known chain of supermarkets, but there are many other brands and they are all similar.


This is one of the many foods that I want, because their image and advertising are deceptive: Name that sounds healthy (Digestive?), Natural symbols (wheat in the photo, green), but neither one nor the other . They do not lie, but you understand me ...

To begin with, the fiber that may have 11% wholemeal flour versus 51% white flour is anecdotal.
In addition, they add palm fat, and it seems that a lot, which is reflected in that more than 10% saturated fat, a threat to your cholesterol.
And 65% by weight are carbohydrates, of which almost 20% are sugars. Sure, it has glucose syrup and sugar. To give you an idea, for every two cookies it's as if you ate a teaspoon of sugar.
In summary: Flour, fat and sugar. Like most buns and cookies, I advance. They are very rich, I know, and I do not know if they are digestive, but what is certain is that they are a bomb. If you can substitute them for a toast of wholemeal bread with jam (best natural), you will do yourself a favor.
