Awards "Small Great Inventions 2016 UPV"
Young people between 15 and 17 years old have competed in the sixth edition of the contest " Small Great Inventions 2016" of the UPV, Universitat Politècnica de València.
The winning projects are "HapCom" of the Gençana de Godella Educational Center and "DJ con Ardumusic" of the El SalerIES in Valencia.
"Hap Como" consists of two devices, connected by bluetooth, that facilitate communication between deaf and blind people. The team consists of three students from the Gençana de Godella Educational Center: Gabriel Rasskin, José Guillermo and Javier Sanmartín.
"DJ con Ardumusic" allows you to play more than forty different instruments with your own hand, without the need for musical knowledge. It uses programming and accessible resources. Its goal is to introduce the smallest in the world of programming.
It is a project of the IES El Saler in Valencia, and the team is composed of Raquel Núñez, María Bonafont, Carlos Pascual and Sergio Olmos. Music lovers who play guitar, trumpet, piano and clarinet.
The contest "Small Great Inventions UPV" has the collaboration of the Official Association of Industrial Engineers of the Valencian Community, which sponsors one of the first two prizes, endowed with 500 Euros. The Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) and the Network of Scientific Culture Units also support this initiative that is aimed at students in the 4th year of Secondary Education, 1st year of Secondary Education and Vocational Training in the Valencian Community.

Five are the projects that have reached the final phase that has been held at the UPV Student House. Each team has defended its project before the jury .
He has also won an accésit the project "Augmented reality and geolocation as tools for environmental awareness and recycling" presented by students of IES Berenguer Dalmau de Catarroja.
And the "Simón EFA" projects of the "La Malvesía" Agrarian Family School of Llombai and "Que la sombra te acompañe" of the IES El Saler in Valencia have been finalists.
