How is the story of the film Adipurush?
The story of the film is of Lord Shriram who went on exile who reaches Lanka to destroy Ravana after Sita's abduction. Everyone who has knowledge of Ramayana knows this story. The film has been started from Sita Haran and ended on Ravana's slaughter. The story of Adipurush seems flat and completely predictable, in which the lack of creativity is clearly visible.
Prabhas in the role of Lord Shri Ram. He has completely worn the look and feel of Bahubali at many places in the film.
How is the acting of the characters?
The acting of Prabhas, seen in the role of Prabhu Shriram, is strong, but in many places, he is completely seen with the look and feel of Bahubali. Seeing Prabhas raising the spirits of the Vanar Sena before making Ramsetu, you too will definitely remember the battle of Kalkeya in the movie Bahubali.
Kriti lacks grace in the role of Janki. His warning to Ravana also seems very dull. Saif's powerful dialogues in the role of Ravana seem quite artificial. Bajrang Bali turned Devdutt Nage is the funniest part of the film. His character brings with it power and laughter.
Poster of the movie Adipurush. In this, Prabhas played the character of Ram, Kriti Sanon played the role of Sita and Laxman was played by Sunny Singh. Devdutt Nage has become Bajrangbali.
How is the background music of the film?
If we talk about the strongest point of Adipurush film, then it is its background music. This music is the life of the film. Hearing the Jai Shri Ram anthem in the theater gives goosebumps.
How is the VFX of the film?
There has not been any significant improvement in the VFX of the film, although you will definitely like Ravana's entry scene, deer scene and Ramsetu making scene. Most of the scenes in the film are very dark.
How is the direction of the film?
Om Raut's work is average here. Some scenes come out so fast that there is a problem in connecting them. Like the scene of burning of Lanka. Everything happens suddenly. Whereas, in the climax scene, close-up expressions of Sita standing far away in the ongoing war between Ram and Ravana are seen, but what she is seeing, this scene seems missing. The scene where Bajrangbali uproots an entire mountain for Sanjivani Booti gets very less screen time.
Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh. His dialogues in this role are very artificial.
Final Verdict: To watch the film or not?
Watching the story of Ramayana in 3D on the big screen is an unforgettable experience in itself, but the flat story of Adipurush can bore you in between. It would also not be wrong to call it modernization of Ramayana. If the background of the characters was also shown
in the film, it could have become better. If you watch the film without expecting much, you will definitely like it. From Bhaskar, we give Adipurush 3 out of 5 stars.
