Junk food: Bony, Pink Panther, Tigretón
Yes, I know. The Bucanero is missing. But for some reason is no longer in the pack, for their strategy of children's pastry Bimbo have been left only with the three and the boring Red Circle (and go restyling that they have done), leaving abandoned the pirate cake. In this charming announcement of the time is the whole team (click to enlarge):
I remember perfectly the four cakes as part of my childhood (the web that Bimbo maintains with this type of chocheces has its grace), especially the Pink Panther, not because I liked it more than the others, but because it was the only food I knew of that pink-perfect color. I think we all wanted children with relish, and we had our favorite. But we ate them from time to time, since the family economy did not allow for such wastage (which also fed the myth even more).
Well, to the point. Which turns out to be the worst ... There are variations between one and another, but all three agree on something: It's amazing that they have so many strange things. For example, these are the ingredients of Tigretón: Sugar, Wheat flour, Partially hydrogenated vegetable oil and fat, Apricot pulp, Glucose and fructose syrup, Egg (8%), Degreased cocoa powder (4%), Gasifying ( e-450ii, e-500ii), Liquor flavor, chocolate and vanilla, Skim milk powder, Salt, Stabilizer (e-412, e-410, e-407, e-1442, e-1422), Preservative (e -200, e-202), Emulsifier (e-322, e-436), Colorant (caramel color, e-124), Vitamins (a, b1, b2, b6, b12, d3, b9), Apricot jam ( 20%), Maltodextrin, S.minerals (calcium carbonate, ferric pyrophosphate), Acidity corrector (e-334, e-330). It is amazing the imagination that food technologists have, adding such disparate things that give rise to such an attractive taste!
Regarding the nutritional information, bad news: a lot of sugar, a lot of fat and a lot of it saturated. In the Bony, half! of its weight is sugar and a fifth part fats, of which 14% are saturated. The tigretón has a little less fat, but more sugar (!). And the Pink Panther gives incomplete data, although seen the ones of his companions, surely it will resemble those of the Bony.
To make the idea: Eat a single Tigretón is like swallowing 5 teaspoons of sugar and a spoonful of butter, apart, of course. Now that it comes to us to buy it, it turns out to be bad. What a disgust, with how rich he is ...!
