The search for employment is always difficult, it does not matter if you live in a country with unemployment as high as Spain, as if you live in a country with a rate as low as the Czech Republic. Sometimes the problem of the search is not your curriculum but the curriculum vitae model that you use.

1. Adapt it to each position you are looking for

We have all done it: create a resume, and send it to all the companies we want to work for. Error!
The key to having an effective curriculum model is to design a curriculum for each type of job you are looking for.
For example: if you are looking for a job as a teacher, it does not make sense to say that you have worked selling insurance when you were 21 years old, but to show the skills and experience they are looking for in particular.

3. Do not leave gaps

4. Keep it updated

Do not wait to leave the job you have to update your resume. Add any important event in your professional career immediately: courses, achievements, promotions in your company, the name change of the company, your new online company, etc.
I recommend having a quick access to your resume so you can edit it quickly when something happens.

5. Add numbers to your resume

Yes, maybe this part is boring or tedious, but it's necessary.
When people talk about achievements, they do it subjectively and that is the same as saying nothing. Few people add figures and percentages in their curriculum:
  1. How much sales increased
  2. How many months did it take to implement "x" system or promotion
  3. How much was the reduction of costs or time in said process
  4. In how many months did you get the promotion
  5. etc.

6. Be creative with the design

The image is everything and in the curriculums, the more you draw attention, the better. Take note of the following quick tips to give a different look to your curriculum model:
  1. Use bold to highlight information
  2. Uses bullet points and short paragraphs
  3. Make use of colors, not everything is black and white
  4. Add links to a CV video
  5. Find applications that turn your resume into an infographic
